Friday, March 27th, a 7.7 Magnitude earthquake near Mandalay, Myanmar's (Burma) 2nd largest city. A second earthquake of 6.4 magnitude struck 12 minutes later, bringing devastation to an already devastated country.
Background
Our story in Myanmar began in Thailand following the Dec. 26, 2004, Tsunami. A team of college students met a Burmese woman ministering to injured or destitute Burmese migrants in southern Thailand. Thus began a 20-year partnership that included supporting a migrant school and forming a children's home on the Thai-Myanmar border.

In 2017, we relocated to central Myanmar after the 2010 forming of a democratic government. Since the Feb. 2021 military coup, things have become untenable for the Burmese people in Myanmar. Earthquakes only add to the desperation and vulnerability of the people.

We currently serve three locations in Myanmar and one in Thailand. A team from the US is traveling this week to support and offer assistance to the ministries on the ground. We would love to partner with you if you would like to receive updates, make a donation toward supplies, or see how you can be involved on an ongoing basis.
